John Jefcoat is a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana - native and proud to be of Cajun descent. Born in Lafayette in 1964, John grew up in the Lafayette area, where he has chosen to raise his family. John is a 1982 graduate of Acadiana High School. John first attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana, and earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration in 1986, from the University of Southwestern Louisiana.
After graduation, John went into private business until 1992, at which time he entered Law School at Southern University. John graduated from Southern University School of Law in 1995, Magna Cum Laude, and as Associate Editor of the Law Review in his Senior Year.
In 1996, John became a founding partner of Galloway Jefcoat, L.L.P. which strives to meet the needs of injured persons throughout Louisiana. John is married to the former June Odom and has two children, Johnae and Jacob.
